Welcome to Dialshots. These terms explain what you can expect from us, and what we ask of you when you use the app. Reading them is not the fun part of espresso, we know, but they are short.
Dialshots is a free web app that helps home baristas log and dial in espresso shots. You can use it as a guest, or sign in with email to sync your shot logs across devices.
You need to be 18 or older, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to use Dialshots. If you are using it on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms on its behalf.
You can use most of Dialshots without an account. If you choose to sign in with email:

The espresso shots, coffee bags, tasting notes, and equipment details you log in Dialshots belong to you. We store them so you can access them later. We do not sell them, and we do not use them for advertising.

We do our best to keep Dialshots working, but we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free, or fit for any particular use. Dialshots is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Espresso quality still depends on you, your beans, and your gear. Dialshots gives feedback based on the data you enter. It is a tool, not a guarantee.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Dialshots and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any lost data. If we are found liable for anything, our total liability is limited to whatever you paid to use Dialshots, which for the free tier is zero.
We may add, change, or remove features over time. If we make a significant change that affects how you use Dialshots, we will try to give reasonable notice.
If we update these terms, we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will let you know inside the app or by email.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Quebec.
